The Children and Young Adults' (CYA) Collection is organised into the following main categories:

• Non-fiction
• Fiction
• Asian Fiction: these are books set in Asia or with Asian illustrations and characters. These books are distinguished from the other CYA books by a yellow film pasted over the call number label.
• Readers: these are books that have been published as a series, and are usually intended for a specific level or as part of a reading programme. Examples include: Cambridge Reading, Oxford Reading Tree, Macmillan's Stories to Remember, Read for Fun, and Yellow Bananas for newly fluent readers. These books are distinguished from the other CYA books by an orange film pasted over the call number label.
